Snohomish County is accepting applications for an estimated $2 million in federal grants. The funds are designated for affordable housing, public facilities, and infrastructure projects.

The county began soliciting proposals this week for the 2027 program year. That fiscal year starts on July 1, 2027. Eligible projects must serve low- and moderate-income residents or neighborhoods within Snohomish County.

Two specific programs are under the current funding opportunity. The first is the First-time Homebuyer Purchase Assistance Program. The second covers public facilities and infrastructure. Both are administered by the Housing & Community Services Division.

The county will hold a virtual application workshop on November 12, 2026. The session runs from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The agenda begins with the homebuyer assistance program and then moves to the facilities and infrastructure program. Application materials and eligibility details are available online.

Applicants must submit a complete electronic copy of their application and supporting documents by 4:00 p.m. on December 4, 2026. Files must be sent to the OHCD Application Email at ohcd@snohomishcountywa.org. Questions regarding the process can be directed to the same address.
