Ukrainian air defenses reported downing 99 Russian targets early on October 30, following a multi-vector attack that began on the night of October 29. The Russian military launched ballistic missiles, four Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missiles, and 113 drones from various positions inside Russia and occupied territories.

The Air Force stated that forces intercepted three Kh-59/69 missiles and 96 drones. These targets included 83 jet-powered Shahed units, Gerbera attack drones, and Parodiya decoys. Launch sites for the drones were identified as the Russian cities of Oryol, Kursk, and Shatalovo, as well as the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.

Ballistic missiles, potentially Iskander-M, S-400, or KN-23 models, were fired from the Voronezh, Kursk, and Bryansk oblasts. The Air Force did not specify the total number of ballistic missiles launched or confirm their interception status. The Kh-59/69 missiles originated from Belgorod Oblast, with early reports confirming the downing of three by 7:30 a.m.

The primary targets of the assault were the Kyiv, Poltava, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. Strikes were recorded at 17 locations, while falling debris was documented at five additional sites. In Kyiv's Dniprovskyi district, the overnight attack resulted in one fatality and one injury. Parts of Dnipro and neighboring areas lost power after hits on main grids in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on October 29.

Ukrainian forces used aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, and electronic warfare assets to repel the attack. Mobile fire groups and unmanned systems units also participated in the defense operations.

Ukrainian authorities noted that several attack drones remained in the air at the time of the report, with combat operations continuing. The total drone count included both jet-powered and propeller-driven models, with the majority of the 96 downed drones being of the Shahed type.
