One hundred years of television history serve as the central theme for the upcoming Jerusalem Sessions. This milestone anniversary will frame the program schedule and thematic discussions during the event.
The three-day festival is scheduled for November 17 through 19. It will take place at the National Library of Israel. The agenda includes film screenings, professional panels, and public conversations.
The opening night features the premiere of Season 3 of the historical series "The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem." This broadcast airs on the Yes network. A panel discussion will follow the screening. Participants include creator Shlomo Moshiah and actors Michael Aloni, Hila Saada, and Eli Steen.
Other scheduled screenings include a standalone episode of "The Chef." This story follows a tech worker, played by Guri Alfi, who receives a second chance to work in a prestigious Tel Aviv restaurant.
International guests will join local industry leaders for onstage conversations. Terence Winter, creator of "Boardwalk Empire," will make his first visit to Israel for the event. He is also known for his work on "The Sopranos" and "The Wolf of Wall Street." Minkie Spiro, a director for "Better Call Saul" and "Downton Abbey," is also attending. David Hadda, creator of the German series "The Zweiflers," will speak about the show featuring a Jewish family in Frankfurt.
Additional participants include Eyal Baumel, who manages major YouTubers such as MrBeast, and Jeff Sagansky, co-president of Sony Pictures Entertainment. A special session will honor Dana Eden, a veteran producer who died this year. Her production partner Shula Spiegel and other colleagues will provide remarks in her tribute.
The Jerusalem Media Initiative of the Jerusalem Development Authority founded the event. Keshet International serves as a fellow sponsor. Collaborative partners include Yes, Kan 11, HOT, and Teddy Productions. Keren Shahar, CEO of Keshet International, stated that the organization brings Israeli voices to the global industry. She noted that local content inspires and leads abroad. Tickets for individual sessions are available on the official website.
