Three community music groups in the Everett area will present free public concerts this week. The events are scheduled at the Snohomish County PUD Theater, the Port Gardner Bay Winery, and the Mukilteo Community Center.

The Evergreen Community Orchestra will play its first concert of the 2026-2027 season at 7 p.m. on October 30. The performance is titled “Tales from the Screen & Stage” and features music from films and stage productions. The program includes a tribute to John Williams, pieces from Star Trek and Harry Potter, and the score for The Phantom of the Opera. The orchestra will also perform Danse Macabre, Jupiter, and Shostakovich’s Waltz No. 2. The event is free and open to the public at 2320 California St. in Everett.

The Mukilteo Community Orchestra will present a program called “Breakthroughs” at 1 p.m. on November 1. This is the first free concert of the orchestra’s season. The performance takes place at the Rosehill Community Center at 304 Lincoln Ave. in Mukilteo. The program includes four pieces: Symphony No. 2, movement II, Scherzo by Emile Mayer; Umoja by Valerie Coleman; On the Cliffs of Cornwall by Ethel Smyth; and Overture in C Major by Fanny Hensel.

The Port Gardner Bay Winery will host the Tim Koss Quartet at 7 p.m. on November 7. The venue is located at 3006 Rucker Ave. in Everett. Admission is free, parking is free, and all ages are welcome. The winery also lists a separate event for the Wheel & House Cafe on October 29 at 5 p.m. featuring Ryan Higgins and Joe Cook, but the winery event is the only one explicitly listed with free admission and parking in the source text for that specific date and location.

The Evergreen Community Orchestra’s season opener follows the Halloween weekend. The group will perform at the Snohomish County PUD Theater. The program mixes cinematic scores with classical works. The orchestra describes the event as a presentation of music from movies and the stage. The performance includes spooky seasonal pieces alongside the film scores. The concert is part of the group's 2026-2027 season.

The Mukilteo Community Orchestra’s program features works by female composers and contemporary pieces. The concert is scheduled for Sunday, November 1. The orchestra will perform at the Rosehill Community Center. The program includes a scherzo by Emile Mayer and a work by Valerie Coleman. Ethel Smyth’s On the Cliffs of Cornwall is also on the bill. Fanny Hensel’s Overture in C Major concludes the list of pieces mentioned.

The Port Gardner Bay Winery will host the Tim Koss Quartet on November 7. The event is free and open to all ages. The winery is located on Rucker Avenue. The source notes that free parking is available for the event. The winery is also home to other musical events, including a performance by the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater in Snohomish on November 8.
